Whitewater Creek is a short river besides our store

This narrow Whitewater Creek in summer becomes shallow and covered by duckweed.
Running water is warm and no stream can stop its blossoming. Lake of Tetonka remains free and fresh.
View of this short creek and opening lake seemed to me beautiful. I decided to paint this "feeling" of hot summer day, opening water plane and peaceful creek.
Sketch is very simple - it marks the main "heroes" of the future picture: remote lake, riverside shrubs and a spot of free water in the foreground.

I also make clear the main correlation between warm and cold colors.
Remote objects turn into blue.
Lights are warm, shades are cold.

My main "hero" is a spot of free water - it gives place for sky, reflections of shrubs, few drops of duckweed. I harry to start painting.

Riverside shrubs are starting to appear.

Foreground water bocomes deeper, left part is warm, right is cold. Blue upon the orange will stay blue, but will become warm. Orange as a background makes cold colors look warmer.

Shrubs also assume volume.

Here it is my "tool" to draw the details in the foreground, riverside rush and shrubs.
This is another "tool" to make some details like shades and remote objects blurred.
Whitewater Creek is ready.
